Daniel Patrick Mammola, 27, of Athens, and formerly of Sayville, NY died on March 9, 2010 at Athens Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in a moving vehicle accident. Born in Long Island, NY, he was the son of Catherine Toolan (Sean) Kelly of Alpharetta and Raymond (Ysabel) Mammola of North Babylon, NY.
Dan graduated from the University of Georgia with a BS in computer science in 2007. He worked as a software engineer for the University of Georgia School of Music.
In addition to his parents, Dan is survived by his brothers, Kevin Michael (Lisa) Mammola of Cumming and Matthew Joseph Mammola of Athens; and stepbrother, Galen Kelly of Alpharetta.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at St. Brendan Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Milton Fields.
